Q: Is the compost aged and safe for plants?

A: Yes! The manure has been properly aged and composted to break down harmful pathogens and weed seeds. It’s safe and ready to be used directly in your garden or beds.

Q: How much compost is in one order?

A: Each order is approximately 1 cubic yard, which is enough to cover about 100 square feet at a 3-inch depth.

Q: Can I bring my own truck or trailer for pickup?

A: Yes! Pickup is by appointment only at our farm in College Grove, TN. Bring a suitable vehicle, and we’ll help load the compost for you.

Q: Can I pick up in a car trunk or SUV?

A: No—1 cubic yard is about the size of a full-sized pickup truck bed. You’ll need a truck or trailer. We cannot split it into smaller bags.

Q: Do you deliver?

A: At this time, compost is pickup only. We’re happy to help you schedule a convenient pickup time.

Q: Can I use this compost in vegetable gardens?

A: Absolutely! It’s a great amendment for vegetables, flowers, shrubs, and trees—just mix into your soil or top-dress your beds.
